SHANNON KERN: Miss Shannon brings with her 15 yrs. of dance training experience, ten of them here at Ann Mercedes. A former assistant / student teacher( and student of the year!) Shannon has a love of dancing and respect for the art form that is truly inspiring. During her High School career she choreographed numerous plays and various productions. Aside from being a straight A student Shannon managed to find time to start a competition dance team which won her many accolades and awards including a first place award for choreography. Shannon continues her training her at Ann Mercedes as well as in NY at the Broadway Dance Center.( Shannon was one of my assistants when I subbed for Phil Black.) In addition to maintaining a 4.0 G.P.A. at Dowling College and holding down several part time jobs Shannon is a shining example of the Ann Mercedes Dance Center goal and a credit to her lovely parents to whom she would like to say “Thanks”
